Retention time

We understand how frustrating this could be especially when there is no UBS device even connected to your PS4. There are numerous reasons as to why this error could occur and possibly they are the following:

Sudden electric surge which could negatively has impacted the functionality of the USB ports of PS4.

Using the USB hub with PS4 and connecting too many USB devices to it

How to Fix Too Many USB Devices Connected Error

Step 1 – Turning off your PS4

Select power your function screen
Select Turn off PS4
Press and hold power button for about 7 seconds or until you hear two beeps
Once the power light blinks and turns to white, your device has been turned off.

Step 2 – Disconnect All USB Devices

This is very important method and it is completely mandatory method after turning off your PS4.

Step 3 – Unplug your Power Cable

Create a new folder on your USB device and rename it PS4
Put your PS4 to Safe mode
