How to Fix iPad Keyboard Typing Wrong Letters

There are times when your iPad keyboard would type wrong characters or type extra or wrong letters. For example, if you have typed the letter a, a different character would appear. Do not worry as there is a solution on this error or issue. Read further to learn more.
How to Fix iPad Keyboard Typing Wrong Letters
Method 1 – Turn Off Smart Punctuation
- Go to Settings
- Select General
- Select Keyboard
- Toggle off or disable Smart Punctuation
Method 2 – Turn Off Auto-Correction and Auto-Capitalization
- Go to Settings
- Select General
- Select Keyboard
- Toggle off auto-capitalization and auto-correction
Keep in mind that if you turn off the auto-capitalization, the new sentences will not automatically start with capitalized words. If you wish to capitalize the first letter of the first word, you will have to use the shift key.
Method 3 – Disable everything in Keyboard Settings
- Head to settings
- Select General
- Select Keyboard
- Toggle off everything in keyboard settings such as Predictive, Shortcuts, Split Keyboard, Check Spelling, Enable Key Flicks, Enable Caps Locks, Enable Dictation, etc.
Method 4 – Reset All Settings
- Go to Settings
- Select General
- Select Reset
- Reset All Settings
Method 5 – Check Your Language Settings
- Go to settings
- Select General
- Select Language and Region
- Select Other Languages
- Select English (US) or any language you prefer.
Method 6 – Install a Different Keyboard
- Go to Apple App Store
- Type Swiftkey
- Select Microsoft Swiftkey Keyboard
- Select Get
- Select Install
Method 7 – Update Your OS
- Go to Settings
- Select General
- Select Software Update
