How to fix Xfinity WiFi connected but no internet issue

How to fix Xfinity WiFi connected but no internet issue?
Method 1 – Restart your WiFi Router
- Turn your WiFi router off for a few seconds
- Turn on your WiFi router after a few seconds.
Method 1.2 – Alternative way to restart your WiFi router
- Open your Xfinity My Account app
- Select Internet option
- Select Modem/Router
- Click restart this device option
Method 2 – Check Xfinity My Account
- Download the Xfinity My account app
- Create your account if you do not have one
- Once you have downloaded the app and have created an account, open the app and select the internet option.
- Choose device which you are experiencing the issue on
- For Android users, select Troubleshoot. For Apple users, select Restart this device option
- Click Start troubleshooting. This will begin the scan
- Once scanning is done, you will receive a message stating, “restart your device. This will take less than 10 minutes. This will not erase any of your settings or change your WiFi name or password. If you have Xfinity Voice, we won’t restart until all in-progess calls are finished.”
- Click restart device
- Wait a few minutes
- Check to see if your internet is back
- Click yes if the issue has been resolved.
- Click no if the issue has not been resolved
- Once you click no, options to solve this issue will be displayed
Method 3 – Check for Outages
Another reason why you could be experiencing the WiFi connected but no internet issue is due to network outage. Your network could be currently doing some maintenance work, the area you are in is experiencing harsh or extreme weather. You could report the outage to Xfinity. All you need to do is to log into your Xfinity account and select the outage map. Once you are at the outage map page, you will find which localities are affected. Identify the area that you are in and inform Xfinity and wait for the outage to be fixed.
Method 4 – Troubleshoot through xFi
- Log into xFi through mobile app or their website
- Go to connect tab
- Select the device you are having issues on
- Select Troubleshoot device
- Select activity which you are having troubles with
- Choose retest signal strength
Ping Test
- For Windows 7 and later versions – Open the command prompt
- Run the command ping -t www.concast.net
- Wait and press Ctrl +C
- For Mac OS X – go to applications then go to utilities
- Select Network Utility
- Click the ping tab
- Enter the address, www.comcast.net
- Fix the pings at around 100
- start the ping
