Retention time

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for. Therefore:

One of the issues that most users are highly concerned about and often times is frustrating and annoying is whenever your PS4 would suddenly sound like a jet engine. Do not worry as this is nothing that you should be scared about. It is not as serious as you would think it would be. No, there is nothing much wrong with your PS4. This sound that you are hearing only means that the fans of your PS4 are clogged which could easily be fixed.

How to Fix PS4 Sounds Like a Jet Engine

When you check the physical appearance of your PS4, you will find on the right and left portion of your console some slatted rails with dozens of slit openings. These openings’ purpose is for air to come into and move around the unit. This way the CPU would cool down. However, when you hear the fans turn on, this would mean that your PS4’s openings are blocked and the air supply has been cut off. This action would then lead to your PS4 to produce jet engine like sounds. The reason behind this is due to your PS4 straining to get proper ventilation.

There are two ways for you to fix this issue and they are through canned air and soft tip brush.

Methods in fixing PS4 sounds like jet engine

Canned Air

This technique is just blowing in small bursts the front of the rails and the back as well. Keep in mind not to blow sideways into the base. This will blow the dirt and debris more further into the insides of your PS4. This would make it worse and much more difficult to fix. Hence, it is much more recommended that you lightly blow the dust out through the back of the channel away from the openings.

Soft Tip Brush

When we say soft tip brush, we mean and recommend that you use a soft tip makeup fan brush. Just lightly brush the dust side out through the back of the channel. Ensure you do this away from the openings. You could check out the E.L.F brand. They have a perfect brush which you could definitely get for a buck at Target.

Another tip we could give you is that you must ensure that you put your PS4 in an area which has adequate ventilation and air flow. This could help you cool down your PS4.
