How to Fix FFXIV Unable to Complete Version Check Error
Method 1 – Check if Server is Live

Method 2 – Check your network
- Disconnect your device from your network
- Restart your router
- reconnect your device
Method 3 – Verify Integrity of Game Cache
- Open up Steam
- Search Final Fantasy XIV
- Right click on it
- Select Properties
- Select Local Files
- Click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache
- Play the game
Method 4 – Edit FFXiV_boot.cfg
- Go to Start menu
- Click My Computer
- Go to C:>User>Documents>My Games> Final Fantasy XIV – A Realm Reborn
- Look for FFXIV_Boot file
- Right click on FFXIV_boot.cfg
- Select Open with notepad
- Locate BootVersionCheckMode
- Change the value from 0 to 1
- Perform B4EulaAgreement
- Change its value to 1
- Save changes
