Hogwarts Legacy: How to Open Level 1 Lock

Hogwarts has a lot of closed areas which are not accessible to players. In fact, in the game, you would run into many different locks as you go through your journey in the castle. This includes Level 1 Lock.

Locks in Hogwarts Legacy are divided into three tiers- Level 1 lock, level 2 lock and level 3 lock. For you to be able to unlock level 2 and level 3, you will have to unlock level 1 lock first. How to Access Doors With Level 1 Lock

Before we go into unlocking level 1 in Hogwarts Legacy, we would first need to know how to make a spell that would help you open the doors and this spell that we would need to learn is the Alohomora Spell.

How to learn the Alohomora Spell

For Wizard fans, the Alohomora spell is a popular and familiar spell. It could open locked doors and in our case, this spell is the most appropriate one to use.

For you to be able to learn this spell, you would need to find Gladwin Moon, who is the Caretaker of Hogwarts. You will have to do his quest wherein you would need to sneak around the castle. Once you have learned the Alohomora spell, you will be able to attempt to open any door that has a lock.

How to Unlock Doors With Level 1 Lock

Once you have learned the Alohomora spell, you would be able to find doors with level 1 lock. This is actually part of the quest which would help Gladwin Moon. Keep in mind that before the door opens, you will have to play the lock-picking mini game which would make this task a bit more complicated.

In the mini game, you would have to control two colored lights. These two lights would help you manage the two-layered dials of the lock. The green light is for the out dial and the red light is for the inner dial. To control these lights, you will need to use your left joystick to move the green and spin the outer dial until the gears at the bottom right starts to move. Keep the green light as it is and repeat the steps for the red light until the inner gears start to move. The lock will open when lights are in the correct position. Keep in mind that this game requires a lot of patience but there are a lot of things to explore around the castle.
