How to Reset Honeywell Thermostat?

For Honeywell 1000 and 2000 Series Thermostats

• Turn off your thermostat
• Flip your circuit breaker which controls your circuit
• Remove the thermostat from the mounting plate
• Take out the batteries and reinsert them backwards
• Align the positive battery pole with the plus sign on the negative sign in the battery.
• Wait then take the batteries out and replace them in the original alignment. Positive to positive and negative to negative
• Re-attach the thermostat to the plate
• Flip the circuit breaker back on

For Honeywell 4000 Series

• Turn your thermostat on
• Press the program selection
• While you are holding the program selection use a paperclip to press the reset button.

For Honeywell 6000WF Series Thermostat

• Press button which shows the up arrow and the fan button
• While you are pressing both buttons, change the number on your left to 90 and number on the right to 1.
• Press Done

For Honeywell 8320WF and 8580WF

• Press System
• Press and hold the blank box in the center
• Change the number on the left to 0710 and number on the right to 1
• Press done

Honeywell 8321WF Thermostats

• Press Menu button
• Go to dealer information
• Scroll until the date code
• Write the date code
• Press done
• Go to installer options
• Type the date code
• Select reset to defaults
• Select Yes

Honeywell 9000 Series

• Press Menu button
• Choose Preferences section
• Press Restore Factory Defaults
• Select Yes

Honeywell T5, T5+ and T6 Thermostat

• Press and hold Menu
• Scroll and select reset
• Select Yes
